Why October Is the Prime Time for Kids Fall Music Activities
Kids Fall Music Activities are a joyful way to bring learning, movement, and connection into the preschool classroom this October. Fun autumn songs paired with simple teaching resources can help children regulate emotions, release energy, and build strong social bonds.
By this point in the school year, children have settled into routines and begun forming real connections with their teachers and peers. With this sense of safety, their true personalities start to shine through. That often means louder laughter, bolder behaviours, and bigger emotions — a natural sign that children feel comfortable enough to be themselves.

There is something so cozy and comforting about the leaves changing colours in the fall and our Music & Language Arts Lesson, The Leaves Are Falling, offers so much opportunity for enjoying this fall theme with music, movement, and through expressive words using poetry and riddles.
Today, I am so excited to be sharing these super playful activities for kids from PreK right up to Grade 2, depending on the interest levels of the students and their abilities to follow along.
