Are you looking for a fun curriculum for your PreK kids about the tides? How about combining some science with creative arts by teaching your kiddos the 8 phases of the moon and how they affect the tides in this super creative Music & Language Arts unit called TIDES ARE MOVING, now availableon our TPT (Teachers Pay Teachers) Store at Teaching Through Stories And Songs. This unit is sure to be a very fun experience for both our littles and their teachers!
This is a progressive lesson that can be taught by any teacher so you do not require a music background to teach it. However, if you do play instruments, there is sheet music for both the xylophone and ukulele. The xylophone notes have been colour coded and are easy for any teacher to play and your more advanced students will be able to follow along as well! The ukulele chord chart is also included.
We didn’t forget about the sun’s part in all of this which will add an extra layer of science in our fun activities & games using poetry & riddles to promote critical thinking and fun group participation!
As a children’s author and early learning music teacher, I am so excited to be sharing my curriculum – and passion to be introducing our youngest learners to learning concepts using songs, poetry, and riddles to offer a unique learning experience combining critical thinking and creative expression while strongly encouraging class participation.
Each of these units includes a combination of Music & Language arts lessons, games, and activities to introduce children to these four seasons in a creative and playful way where they can use their imaginations to play and explore in their learning about these themes.
This unit is a continuation of our Flowers Are Blooming theme as we are getting ready to offer you themes for all four seasons which will be ready in August for the new school year! These themes include:
