EXPLAINING SNOWFLAKES TO KIDS WITH STORIES & SONGS!

written by Lorrie Holmes December 8, 2024

There is something so magical and playful about flurrying snowflakes – partly because each is one of a kind – just like you and me! What a wonderful opportunity to encourage our children to embrace their own uniqueness. Snowflakes Are Flurrying is such a fun way to explain snowflakes to preschoolers with stories and songs!

SNOWFLAKES ARE FLURRYING offers a wide range of learning activities to be shared with kids from PreK to Grade 2!

Snowflakes Are Flurrying touches on many subjects, starting with STEM as children learn about how snowflakes are formed, next fun riddles are offered where children work together to identify these magical crystals, then moving into Language Arts & Music.

The music portion of this package is also very open ended and can be taught by any teacher as it is designed so you do not require a music background to teach it. However, if you are interested in making use of this full package you will certainly pick up the basic music theory and enjoy exploring these fun playful music lessons with their young students with the investment of about 1 hour of your time! If you are a little more advanced in your musical abilities and you do play instruments, there is sheet music for both the xylophone and ukulele. The xylophone notes are easy for any teacher to play and your more advanced students will be able to follow along as well!

Language Arts is also a big component of this unit where children enjoy playful verses of poetry, song, and riddles to promote group discussions and further table top challenges where 77 pages of various materials are offered, one page at a time in group lessons and exploratory play.

THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES

● Lyrics to the Snowflakes Are Flurrying song.

● Rhythm pattern game to learn the beat to this song.

● Fun riddles to identify 6 different shapes of snowflakes.

● Sheet music made easy for children to play the simple melody on xylophone.

● Ukulele chord sheet with only 3 chords to play this fun song!

● Copy & paste and cutting activities.

● Colouring page.

We hope you enjoy this package and please DM us on Instagram if you would like to share with our community how this package worked out for you and we will do our best to share your results on social media!
